Mrs. Phyllis Blanton Carmical, 66, Coldiron, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 10, 2007 at her home. She was born on June 10, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky and was a life-long resident of Harlan. She was a faithful Christian, wife, mother, and Gran-Gran. She believed in the Pentecostal faith.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Ephie Stanley Blanton, Sr. and Eunice Saylor Blanton, and a brother, Ephie Stanley Blanton, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Fred D. Carmical, Sr., Coldiron; two children, Deanio Carmical and wife Sheila, Harrogate, TN., Seth Carmical and wife Heather, of Coldiron; two granddaughters, Kierstyn and Presleigh Carmical, of Harrogate, TN; four siblings, Jimmy Blanton and wife Arlene, of Harlan, Helen Hicks and husband Smokey, of Cranks, Deron Blanton and wife Renee, of Harlan, and Benny Blanton and wife Charlene, of Coldiron; mother-in-law, Mrs. Cora Carmical, of Coldiron. Also surviving is a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and special friends Elizabeth and Donnie Miracle, Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 PM Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Harlan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Molus Pentecostal Church on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM by Rev. Ray Stepp, Rev. Wm.

Boyd Bingham III, Rev. Jack Carmical, and Rev. Nick Noe. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Coldiron Church of God Mountain Assembly Building Fund P. O. Box 86 Coldiron, Kentucky 40819.

Harlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
