Dr. Anthony F. Leger, MD, 82 of Harlan, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He is a 1953 graduate of LaVal University in Quebec, Canada, a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Army, a Kentucky Colonel and practiced medicine in Harlan from 1968 to 1996 at the Daniel Boone Clinic and officially retired in 2003.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Anthony Leger and Helen Alexander Leger; a son, Anthony Leger, JR., his wife, Dorothy Blanton Leger; his step-sons, John Leger and Tim Leger, his grandchildren, Amy Click and Anthony Click.

He is survived by his sons, Larry Leger, Louisville, KY; Chris and wife, Leigh Leger, Ft. Worth, Texas; Rev. Jeff Leger, New Haven, KY; Richard Leger, Columbus, Ohio; his step-daughter, Kathy Click, Brookside; his grandchildren, Matthew Leger and Alexandria Leger, both of Ft. Worth, Texas; a step-grandson, Jonathan Leger, Shelbyville, KY; his sisters, Camellia Langlois and Joann Hazel, both of Canada; his brothers, Adrian Leger, Canada and Doug Leger, Florida.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 6PM at St. Catherine of Alexandria, 174 North Main Street, New Haven, KY 40051.

Mass Services will be Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11AM at the Church.

Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
