Johnny Delaney Vaughn, 80, of Putney, departed this life on Friday, October 12, 2007 following an illness. He was a lifelong resident of Harlan County.

Johnny was an associate of Fuller's Furniture in Harlan and was a major stockholder for 51 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Greenberry Vaughn and Doshia Elveree Henry Vaughn; a son, Stephen Alan Vaughn; three sisters, Francine Osborne, Goldine Howard and Cloretta Brawski; and a brother, Odell Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lillie Saylor Vaughn of Putney; five stepchildren: Debbie Harrison and companion Franklin Eversole, Dryden, VA; Terry Harrison and wife DeeDee, Rosspoint; Mary Frances McClure and husband Curtis of Dayhoit; Jennifer Colinger and husband Kenny of Loyall; and

Kathryn Harrison of Coldiron; three brothers, Gary Vaughn, Norwood, OH; Benny Vaughn, Corbin; and Daris Vaughn; a sister, Geraldine Parsons of Norwood, OH; 10 grandchildren: Lance Vaughn; Travis and Deanna Harrison; Stephen, Wayne and Katelyn Morton; Aaron Bryant and wife Cassey; Jonathan and Kenneth Colinger; John David and Chesney Osborne; and a great-granddaughter, Arrianna Bryant.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm Monday at Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Matthew Boggs and Rev. Darrell Turner officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Harlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
