Charles M. Cole, 55 of New Lexington, OH; formerly of Kenvir, KY passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at his residence following a long illness.

He was native of Harlan County and a former coal miner for Peabody Coal Company. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and believed in the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Cole Sr. and Thelma Pace Cole.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Dunsberry Cole, New Lexington, OH; four children, Valarie Kidwell and husband David, Cumberland, KY; Mike Cole and wife Misty, Evarts, KY; Travis Cole and wife Heather, Evarts, KY and Brandon Cole and wife Emily, Red Bud, KY; two step-children, Mandy Slatzer and Michelle Dunsberry both of New Lexington, OH; three brothers, Danny Cole and wife Kathy, Ages, KY; Butch Cole, Wartburg, TN and Tony Cole, Nashville, TN; one sister, Betty Guthrie and husband Mike, Kenvir, KY; also surviving are five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 p.m. in the chapel of Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday November 5, 2007 at the Britton's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Don Johnson and Reverend Ronnie Hoskins officiating.

Burial will be in the New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, OH.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
