Connie Goodman North, 61, of Harlan, entered Eternal Rest on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at the Britthaven Nursing Home following a long illness.

She was born September 20, 1946 at Dressen and had lived in Harlan County all of her life. Connie was a homemaker and a member of the Coxton Faith Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Goodman and Louvelle Morgan Goodman.

Survivors include her husband, Noble North; five children: Kimberly Doyle and husband Marty, of Cumberland; Scotty Huff and wife Missy, of Evarts; Bobby Huff and wife Mary, of Wallins; Harold Bo Huff, of Pennsylvania; and Jeff Huff and wife Shelia, of Florence, KY; one sister, Lavanna Goodman of Harlan; one brother, Jim Goodman of Rutledge, TN; 14 grandchildren: Christie Salyer, Shannon Whitaker, Marty Doyle, Jr., Stephanie Huff, Sarah Huff, Whitney Huff, Bobby Huff Jr., Heather Huff, Stacey Huff, Laurin Huff, Amber Huff, Jeffery Huff Jr., Amanda Huff and Kayla Huff; three great-granddaughters: Lacey Doyle, Crissa Salyer and Shayla Whitaker; and a special friend, Wanda Brumfield.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening at the Coxton Faith Tabernacle church.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Reverend Wayne Caldwell and the Reverend Stan Nicely officiating.

Interment will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Tremont with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Harlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
