Pearl Blair, 85, of Holmes Mill, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at her granddaughter's home following a long illness. She was born in Clay County and had lived here most of her life. Pearl was a homemaker and a member of the Cloverfork Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonzo Blair; her parents, Lula Hoskins Palmer and Harvey Palmer; her step-father, Roscoe Carroll; two sons, Agon Alto Blair and Chester Blair; a sister, Maggie Jackson; a granddaughter, Mona Lisa Blair; and a great-granddaughter, Tasha Blair.

Survivors include two sons, Lewis Blair and wife, Sharon, Holmes Mill; Gerald Blair and wife, Robin, Cawood; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Blair of Holmes Mill; Barbara Blair of Indiana; and a sister, Myrtle Smith of Keokee. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Mike Blair, Glenda Lawson, Kenneth Blair, David Blair, Melissa Smith, Kim Burkhart, Chris Stewart, Jamie Blair, Randy Blair and Janeane Blair; twenty-five great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; her Hospice nurses including Renee' Sullivan, Lauren Webb and Flora Soloe; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held after 6 pm Monday and anytime Tuesday at the Cloverfork Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 pm at the Church with the Rev. Mike Blair and the Rev. Lloyd Ray Burkhart officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
