Peggy Joyce Roark, 61, of Coxton, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2008 at her home following a long illness. A native of Brookside, she had lived here most of her life. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of the Ages Mountain Assembly Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Lasley Rainey and Clyde Rainey, and four sisters, Betty Nolan, Katie Schultz, Billie Rainey and Ann Brock.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, James "Bill" Roark, Coxton; four children, Judy Holden Clark and husband, Tommy, Lafollette, TN; James Roark, Evarts; Ralph Roark and fianc/, Sherry Burgan, Evarts; Jackie Sizemore and husband, Michael, Harlan; and three brothers, Jerry Hershel Rainey and wife, Nannie, Ages; Earl Rainey and wife, Opal, Michigan; and Bill Anglian, Harlan. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Josh, Todd and John Holden, Stacey and Polly Clark, Megan and Katelyn Roark, Madison and Toni Colvin; two great-grandchildren, Cody Hubbard and Gabriel Holden; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held after 5 pm Wednesday and anytime Thursday at the Ages Mountain Assembly Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 pm at the Church with the Rev. Kelles Greer and the Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
