Greg Blanton, 44, was arrested on an indictment warrant for charges of three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. Blanton was arrested by Harlan County sheriff's deputy Kenny Sergent.
According to the indictment, some time during the summer of 2005, Blanton allegedly subjected a female minor, 12, to sexual contact. Also during the summer of 2005, Blanton allegedly knowingly gave alcoholic beverages and cigarettes to a minor.
Blanton pleaded guilty to the charges and appeared before Special Judge Cletus Maricle for sentencing.
In other court action before Maricle:
-- Johnny Madden, 53, was sentenced to five years in prison on two counts of trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school and one count of second-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
-- Gaynell Halcomb, 50, was shock probated for five years.
-- Frank Lee Jr., 24, was sentenced to seven years in prison on drug trafficking charges.
-- Joann Napier, 40, waived her probation revocation hearing. Her probation was revoked.
-- Kenneth Brandon Phillips, 29, was sentenced to a pre-trial diversion for five years on an amended charge of theft by unlawful taking of property over $300.
-- Daniel Neff, 49, appeared for a pre-trial conference. His case was dismissed by agreed order.
-- Sherrod Phillips, 25, was granted shock probation for five years.
In court action before Judge Russell Alred:
-- James Derrick Stephenson, 19, was sentenced to five years to be probated through drug court after he serves 120 days in jail.
-- Robert Dale Stevens, 40, had his probation revoked.
-- Christopher Bennett, 23, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
-- Mary Jacqueline Farmer, 51, was sentenced to five years in prison on theft charges.
-- Jimmy Bright, 36, was sentenced to one year in prison on a drug trafficking charge. A request for probation was denied.
-- Dana Caldwell, 27, was sentenced to four years in prison.
-- Joshua Dunson, 29, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a drug trafficking charge.
-- Justin Harris, 23, was sentenced to one year in prison.
-- Raymond Moses, 28, was sentenced to one year which was probated for one year unsupervised on a charge of receiving stolen property.
