Mr. Shepherd a native of Harlan County was born January 2, 1922 to the William E. and Daisy Fee Shepherd. He was a retired Police Officer with the Harlan City Police and believed in the Baptist faith.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Otto Shepherd, Harry Pate, Pat Pate and William Shepherd, Jr.
He is survived by a brother, Mike Pate of Austin, IN; a sister, Kathleen Peterson of Austin, IN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a special friend, Edna of Pansy.
Visitation will be after from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Robert Keith presiding.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
