An Enterprise Staff Report

Knox Central scored seven runs in the first inning Friday and rolled to a 20-10 win over visiting Cawood in softball action.

Four Knox Central players had at least two hits apiece.

Richelle Johnson paced Cawood (2-9) with a double, two singles and three RBI. Alisha Curry followed with a double, a single and two RBI. Stephanie Hampton added a pair of singles. Ashley Fee, Shana Curry and Jennifer Hensley each singled once.

Hampton (2-8) suffered for the loss for the Trojanettes. She walked seven, hit one batter and had two strikeouts in the five-inning game.

Cawood returns to action Thursday at Leslie County before playing host to Whitley County on Friday.

Knox Central (2-4) travels to Harlan today at 5 p.m.

HHS drops two

The Lady Dragons fell to Corbin 11-0 and Lawrence County 11-4 in the Cumberland Falls Invitational on Saturday.

No other information was available at presstime.

Harlan (4-6) plays at home against Knox Central. The Lady Dragons will travel to Evarts on Tuesday.
