Dorthy Beatrice Jones Willis, 73, of Lejunior, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Harlan Nursing Home following a long illness. A native and lifelong resident of Harlan County, she was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Little Jones and Ransom Jones; three sisters, Snobia Middleton, Flossie Clem and Delia Stewart; three brothers, Kerry Jones, Charles Little and John Little; three nephews, Henry Middleton, Jackie Middleton and James Lee Middleton; and a special niece, Jean Stewart Blackburn.

Survivors include a special brother-in-law, Johnnie Middleton, Verda; nieces: Anna McQueen and husband, Earl, Lejunior; Flossie Smith and husband, Gill, Verda; Jessie Perry and husband, Arnold, Tazewell, TN; and Doshia Riddle and friend, Petie Osborne, Verda; nephews: Jerry Middleton and wife, Susie, Bailey’s Creek; Kerry Middleton and wife, Sandy, Washburn, TN; and two nieces by marriage: Sharon Middleton, Verda, and Martha Middleton, Tazewell, TN. Also surviving are a special niece, Gloria Payne, Lejunior; two special great-nieces: Tasha Payne and her fiancé, Randall Cottrell, Verda; and Brittaney Payne and her special friend, Adrienne Davenport, Lejunior; three special great-nephews: John and Thomas Payne, and Jackson Stewart, all of Lejunior; and a special great-great-nephew, Dustin Stewart.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. today and anytime Saturday at the family home at 30 Lloyd Road in Lejunior.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at the family home with the Rev. Richard Lynn Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery at Verda. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
