Lee Helton, 60, of McHenry, Ill., died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at his home.

He was born on February 16, 1948 in Kenvir, KY to Louis and Maxine (Cox) Helton.

A member of the McHenry Moose Lodge, he loved his family and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his children, Jeffrey Helton of Green Bay, WI and Bridget Helton of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Madison, Emily and Carter; his mother, Maxine Helton of Kenvir, KY; brothers and sisters, Mary Ayscue of Virginia Beach, VA, Barybee (Francis) Smiddy of Palatine, Steven (Helen) Helton of Glendale Heights, Linda Tucker of Palatine, Tony Helton of Kenvir, KY and Glen Helton of Kenvir, KY; an aunt, Glennes Shackleford of TN; nieces and nephews, Scott, Robert, Beth, Glen, Glen Jr., Jennifer, Tyler, Jacob and Timothy; and his dear companion, Dolores C. Hanlon of McHenry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Helton; and his brother, Allen Edward Helton.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in McHenry.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Department of Sage Cancer Center in McHenry.
