She was born February 5, 1922 in Mill Creek, Ky. Mrs. Helton has spent the last nine years in Lexington at the Lexington Country Place Nursing Home after suffering a stroke in 1999. She was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 Years; Herman H. Helton. Parents; Sled Jim and Katie Howard and all her siblings. Daughter; Hermia Faye Taylor. Grandson; H.C. Freeman. Granddaughter; Kimberly Freeman.
Survivors include two daughters: Jo Ann Freeman, of Georgetown, Ohio; and Phyllis Deal of Lexington, Ky. and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many special friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Ky. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation.
