The Benham Garden Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Tri-City residents and visitors who made the grand opening of the Old Benham Jail a tremendous success. To all those who came by during the Tri-City Grand Reunion and purchased merchandise, gave donations and offered words of encouragement, we sincerely appreciate all you have done to lift the spirit of the Benham Garden Club — you have made us feel proud of our accomplishments. Sometimes difficulties make one question whether or not a project is worth the effort involved, but when the project is completed, appreciated and supported by others it makes all the difficulties seem unimportant.

The hard work, determination and love of the community is the driving force behind the Benham Garden Club and their ambition to preserve the town and its heritage. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has helped in any way.

The winner of the free drawing for the special grand opening gift of a Benham afghan was Nancy Moneyhun.

We would like to encourage everyone to visit the old jail if you have hand made merchandise, new or practically new items for sale come by and see the Benham Garden Club policy for consignment sales. We presently have a good selection of consignment merchandise for special gifts. There is something for everyone, even free coffee.

Again, a big thank you to everyone, and keep in touch because you have all encouraged the Benham Garden Club to do even more to enhance our community.

Cindy Humphrey

Benham Garden Club president
