Taylor gained 173 yards on 17 carries, and Taylor added 143 yards on nine carries.
Dozier led the Black Bears’ defense with nine tackles. Richard Pace had four tackles and two interceptions. Allyn Fulst and Josh Howard each added four tackles.
Dozier started the scoring an 18-yard run in the first quarter. Taylor added the two-point conversion.
After South Laurel cut the deficit to 8-6, Harlan County scored again as Jordy Brewer and David Lee teamed on a 27-yard pass. Taylor added the two-point conversion.
South Laurel cut the deficit to 16-12 at halftime, but Harlan County took command in the second half. Dozier’s 7-yard touchdown run and a conversion by Brewer gave the Bears a 24-12 lead.
Taylor scored on a 7-yard run and added the conversion to make it 32-12. Dozier rumbled 39 yards for the final touchdown. Randy Partin added the two-point conversion.
Harlan County (2-1) returns to action Thursday at South Laurel.
