Anna was a native of Harlan County and had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker; believed in the Baptist faith; and a member of Cloverlick Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Bethel and Pearlie Mae Estep McKnight and one son, Rick McKnight.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard McKnight; six children, Eddie Lee McKnight, Bartow, FL; Mike McKnight and wife, Annette, Cumberland; Leonard Hank McKnight and wife, Phyllis, Rosspoint; Teresa Ison and husband, Mike, Whitesburg; Mark McKnight and friend, Jessica Gill, Cumberland; Adam McKnight and wife, Aimee, Cumberland; a daughter-in-law, Lisa McKnight; four brothers, Roy McKnight, Gallatin, TN; Charles McKnight, Partridge; Harold McKnight, Harrison, MI; Roger McKnight, Dandridge, TN; four sisters, Doris Phipps, Cumberland; Betty Phipps, Partridge; Pauline Trent, Partridge; and Bonnie Logins, GA; fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6-9pm Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Tri City Funeral Home in Benham. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, September 28, 2008 in the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home with Pastor Don McKnight and Rev. Mike Blair officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Clay Cemetery at Cumberland.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
