The Middlesboro Yellow Jackets defeated visiting Harlan 13-0 in the second game of a district doubleheader on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets opened with 10 runs in the first inning and were never threatened the rest of the way. Middlesboro added three more runs in the second inning, and the game was called after after four.

The Dragons were limited to four hits in the second game by Chris Short, who struck out five and walked three. Dylan McNiel had two singles. Christian Turbyfill doubled, and Tyler Grubbs added a single

Colby Wilson suffered the loss on the mound for the Green Dragons.

Harlan (4-11 overall, 0-2 district) returns to action Thursday against Perry Central.
