The Harlan County Ridge Runners hosted their sixth annual Ramp Festival at the north Evarts RV park on Saturday. The day began with ATV rides and ended with a dinner being served to hundreds who attended. Harlan County Lady Ridge Runners Donna Guthrie is seen cooking salmon patties while Tina Couch puts cornbread fritters on the grill. Harlan District Court Judge Jeff Brock is seen enjoying a bowl of fried ramps with polish sausage, fried potatoes with onions, cabbage, fried chicken and a host of other items on the menu. Cumberland River Band furnished some toe-tapping bluegrass music and members of the Evarts Tourist and Convention Commission supplied desserts for the event.
