The Cumberland Redskins pushed their record to 13-2 in middle school baseball action with an 11-10 victory at Harlan on Tuesday.
Cameron Nease had two doubles and a single to pace the Redskins at the plate. Hunter Nease recorded a double and a single. Jordan Dixon contributed a triple. Josh Lee had a pair of singles, and Sean Johnson, Brendan Rutherford, Will Scott, Hunter Goodwin, Chandler Funk and Brennan Gilliam each added a single.
Noah Busroe had a triple and a double to pace the Green Dragons. Jacob Wilson and Tyler Jenkins each contributed two singles, while Holden Williams added a double.
In previously unreported action, Cumberland downed Harlan 15-0 last week.
Caleb Hogue and Aaron Lewis each had a double and a single to lead the Redskins at the plate. Johnson recorded three singles, and Lee, Rutherford, Cameron Nease and Hunter Nease each added a pair of singles.
Busroe recorded a double and a single for Harlan’s only hits.
Johnson struck out three batters and allowed just two hits in the victory on the mound.
Cumberland will return to action Friday at New Harlan.
