The Home Federal Braves defeated the Ken & Paul’s Reds 4-0 in the season opener at Huff Park.
Killian Ledford led the Braves at the plate and on the mound. Ledford went four innings for the win, while striking out 10 batters. Benjamin Lewis pitched the final inning, striking out the side. Ledford led the Braves with a two run double, Jacob Wilson, Will McCarthy and Logan Taylor each contributed a single.
The Ken & Paul’s Reds were led at the plate by J. Bailey and D. Hardy with each contributing a single. Bailey and Hardy shared mound duty with Bailey striking out sic batters in three innings. Hardy recorded three strikeouts in an inning in relief.
The Braves secured a 9-7 victory over the visiting Jewelcraft Marlins Home Federal in Little League action recently.
Ledford paced the Braves with two singles and a double. Lewis added one single and a triple. McCarthy, Ethan Cornett
Wilson recorded 10 strikeouts in four innings in the win. Lewis struck out six batters in two innings.
Josh Burkhart had a single and a double to pace the Marlins.Pedro Roman contributed two singles, and Jackson Huff added a single. Burkhart recorded seven strikeouts in 3.2 innings in the start. Tyler Carmical struck out two betters in 2/3 inning, and Antonio Roman recorded one strikeout in 1/3 inning.

Kaytlin Cornett powered the UK Wildcats at the plate in Harlan Little League Softball action Tuesday night. Cornett doubled twice, driving in five runs to lead the Wildcats over the visiting UT Volunteers 16-10. Elizabeth Ball, Jacey Lewis and Emily Sizemore each singled twice while Jenna Shoemaker and Sonnie Bolton each singled. Jacey Lewis pitched a complete game striking out seven for the win. UT was led at the plate by Emily Long and Peyton Bennett with two singles each. Brendyl Ward, Kayce Bennett and Mary Beth Smith each contributed a single. Peyton Bennett pitched all four innings striking out six.
