An Enterprise Staff Report
The Harlan County Lady Bears were unable to generate anything offensively Monday as they fell 6-0 at 14th Region for Letcher Central.
Junior Katie Johnson singled in Harlan County’s first at-bat, but the Lady Bears were held hitless after that. Harlan County had scoring opportunities, but left the bases loaded in the fourth inning and a pair of runners were stranded in the second and fifth inning.
“It was just one of them days. Nobody hit it,” said Harlan County coach Howard White. “Both teams were awful hitting the ball.”
Johnson went four innings in the loss on the mound. Eighth-grader Megan Ramsey turned in three innings in relief.
Harlan County (12-8) returns to action today at Middlesboro in a 52nd District contest.
