Dragons shut out Jenkins

All nine Green Dragons contributed with a hit or RBI as Harlan's win streak reached five games with a 7-0 win Tuesday at Jenkins.

Seniors Zach Hollins and Tyler Grubbs led Harlan's 10-hit attack. Hollins had a double and single with three RBI. Grubbs had two singles and two RBI. Freshman second baseman Ben Abraham added two singles. Colby WIlson, Tye Patrick, Jacob Clark and Austin Browning each contributed one single.

Hollins pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Harlan took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Patrick and Clark opened the inning with singles and scored on RBI ground outs by Dylan McNiel and Austin Miller.

Browning singled in the third inning and scored on Hollins' single.

The Dragons added four insurance runs in the sixth inning with the help of three errors. Hollins doubled in two runs. Grubbs and Abraham had RBI singles.

Harlan (11-17) plays host to Pineville on Thursday.
