Brooklyn Jhade Woods from Harlan County High School was crowned the 2012 Kentucky Mountain Laurel Princess at Friday's coronation ceremony held at the Pineville High School gym. A tradition that began in 1950, the KMLF Princess Pageant features candidates from high schools throughout southeastern Kentucky. As the winner, Woods will be riding on one of the floats in today’s gala parade in downtown Pineville. She is the daughter of Tom and Tammy Woods of Lynch.
