The annual 4-H Kids Fun Day was held at Huff Park in Harlan on Wednesday kicking off the Poke Sallet Festival. Approximately 1,000 children and adults attended the celebration where a variety of games and activities were available to them. Kimberlyn Napier (left), 3 of Evarts, and her cousin Abigale Napier, 5 of Harlan, enjoyed the inflatables, which were provided by the Harlan County Fiscal Court for the event. A large crowd gathered in awe to watch Nick Jenks, of Middlesboro, who is the Chief Engineer at Harlan ARH Hospital and a professional BMX bike rider, fly through the air on his bike. The Poke Sallet Festival continues today with a variety of events planned.
