Mrs. Elswick died Sunday at Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington. A native of Grays Knob in Harlan County, she was a retired school teacher with Franklin Co. public schools, having taught at Bridgeport and Collins Lane. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, KEA, Capital City Retired Teachers Association, Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and former Frankfort Women’s Club member.

Services for Lucille Skidmore Elswick, 96, of Frankfort, will be held Thursday 1:00 p.m. at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Dr. James Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Elswick (Raymond) Peltier, Seymour, TN, and Linda L. Elswick, Lexington; two grandchildren, Joseph E. Peltier and Nuria Peltier (Joseph) Nelkin; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Vincent and Alexander Aaron Nelkin; sister, Virginia Jones, Harlan Co.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Curry, Raymond Peltier, Joseph Peltier and Joshua Nelkin.
