Delmer Creech, 86, of Lejunior, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital following a long illness. A native of Harlan County, he had lived here most of his life. Delmer was retired from the U.S. Army where he served 23 years. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Bailey Creech and Alexander Creech; and a brother, Ted Creech.

Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Antonie Rauch Creech, Lejunior; a sister, Ollie Witt, Illinois; a special friend, Wanda Eldridge; a host of nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012, beginning at 10 am at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with the Reverend Don Johnson and the Reverend Larry Parker officiating.

Burial will be in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Harlan Honor Guard, which will also serve as pallbearers.
