Rodney Mitchell Maggard, age 68, of Hazard, KY passed away on June 13, 2012 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Mr. Maggard was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, the former director of the Rural Law Enforcement Technology Center and a former Chief of Police with the Hazard Police Dept.

He is the son of the late Ivory Mitchell Maggard and the late Margaret McIntosh Maggard. He is also preceded in death by his brother: James Charles Maggard.

He is survived by his loving Wife: Beverly Maggard; Three Daughters: Lesley (Jay) Buckner, Brandi (Jeff) Townsley & Vali (Kevin) Dye; One Brother: Tommy Wayne Maggard; God- Son: Anthony Bersaglia; Five Grandchildren: Ali Townsley, Walker Townsley, Mitchell Buckner, Grayson Dye & Averi Dye and a Host of Family & Friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Hal Rogers Forum.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Sat. June 16, 2012 at Hal Rogers Forum with Dr. Bill Scot & Rev. Chris Fugate.
