Cecilia Kathern “Kathy” Shell 62, of Rosspoint, Ky. Passed away Fri. June 15, 2012 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 18, 1949 in Harlan, Ky. Kathy was retired from the Kentucky State Vocational & Rehabilitation & a member of the Poorfork Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ronald Wallace Shell & Ora Patricia Howard Shell. One sister; Carolyn Sergent.

Survivors include brothers & sisters; Layne Wright & husband Raymond of Rosspoint, Ky. Gail Blankenship & husband Charles of Louisville, Ky. Merle Shell & wife Flo of Rosspoint, Ky. Nephews; Tommy Wright of Coldiron, Ky. Greg Wright of Rosspoint, Ky. Niece; Nichole Neely of Monticello, Ky. Great nieces & nephews; Amanda, Brooke, Shalora, Tyler, Seth & Calan. Special friends; Judy “Toot” Howard, Geraldine Ellis, Emily Bailey and David Wilder. A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 18, 2012 at 8:00 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with Bro. James Forrester & Bro. Danny Younker officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 20, 2012 at Resthaven Cemetery of Keith, Ky. Pallbearers will be; Greg Wright, Tommy Wright, Tyler Wright, David Wilder, Doug Wilder, Kevin Ellis, George Howard & Ted Pace.

Honorary Pallbearers will be; Don Wilder & Seth Wright.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to 4th & 5th floor nurses of Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Also a special thank you to Dr. Jose Echaverria.
