He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Forman for Great-Western Coal for over 19 years.
He is preceded in death by his patents, Ben and Rena Begley Scearse SR.; his wife, Billie Jean Scearse; his sisters, Betty Lois Boggs, Francis Lewis and Eddie Helton and a brother, Bob Scearse.
He is survived by his children, Scudder and wife, Colleen Scearse of Lenarue, Keith and wife, Lisa Scearse of Bledsoe.
Ten grandchildren, Jennie Crain, Heather Overbay, Samantha Price, Brandy, R.J., Harold and Nancy Scearse, Jennifer Smith, Christina Saylor and Chastity Bumgardner and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 at Rich Funeral Home Chapel with services at 8PM with Rev. Bobby Boggs officiating.
Burial services will follow 11 AM Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery Chapel.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
