A Harlan County man was injured in a single vehicle crash near Evarts on Wednesday. Harlan County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Brewer, pictured here, investigated the crash. According to Brewer, Stan Turner, 56, of Black Mountain, was traveling west in a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser on KY 215 when his car crossed the yellow line and went into the ditch. The Harlan County Rescue Squad extricated Turner from the vehicle. He was transported by LifeCare Ambulance Service to the Evarts football field where he was airlifted to a trauma center. The Harlan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Yocum Creek Fire Department and the Kentucky State Police.
