Staff Report

Harlan County Judge-Executive Joe Grieshop has issued a press release to clarify some confusion concerning the outdoor burning ban that is in effect.

According to the release, “A total outdoor burning ban is and will remain in full effect until further notice. Absolutely no outside burning is permitted in Harlan County at anytime whatsoever. There is also a strict backyard fireworks advisory in effect as well. You are encouraged to use all precautionary measures possible with your personal fireworks. If any property damage is done by personal fireworks, the user will be monetary responsible for such damage, also possibilities of fines as well.”
