Harlan City Police officer Derrick Noe is investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred at 11:55 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart intersection of the U.S. 421 Bypass.

Noe said Rick Bledsoe was injured in the crash after his 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle and another vehicle made contact.

Noe said Bledsoe rear-ended a 1990 Isuzu Trooper operated by Kenneth Mann Jr., of Wallins.

Bledsoe was transported to Harlan ARH Hospital by LifeCare Ambulance Service. A passenger in Mann's vehicle, Kimberly Shipman, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle for treatment.

Bledsoe was later airlifted to a trauma center. His condition is not available.

Noe was assisted by officer John Brown and the Harlan County Sheriff's Office.
