The Kentucky State Police has issued a Golden Alert for Ruth Howard, 68, of Dayhoit.
Police said she has dementia, and she walked away from her residence in Dayhoit at 6:30 p.m. today.
She was last seen wearing a black coat, black shirt, black pants and white shoes. She was last seen walking toward Harlan from Dayhoit.
Harlan County Emergency Management, Kentucky State Police, Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and the Harlan County Rescue Squad are currently searching for her.
