The Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology, located at 114 North Cumberland Avenue in Harlan, held a back-to-school bash at their facility recently. Hoping to help parents, especially laid off coal miner families, and give back to the community staff were giving $2 haircuts to all students aged kindergarten to twelfth grade. Seen is Kori Johnson, 16 of Elcomb, getting a cut and color from Jenny Lea Academy student hairdresser Charlea Robinette. They also had free face painting, treat bags and refreshments for all those who attended.
