On Tuesday August 28th, 2012 Zelta Nantz stepped into eternity to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born February 11th, 1924 in Cornettsville, KY to the late Fred & Lona Jones, Zelta was a faithful Christian and member of the Blair Chapel Church for over 50 years.

As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she always had time to share her love of art, music and the value of simpler things in life such as raising a vegetable garden with her family and friends. “Mamaw” to those who were blessed to have known her, always had a kind word and a hearty meal for anyone that visited her home in the Blair community near Cumberland, KY. She will be dearly missed by the many friends and family whose lives she has touched over the years. She will be remembered for the gentle kindness of her spirit, the graceful way she could always make you smile and the genuine love you felt when she was near.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Jones and Lona Huff Jones; her first husband, Edgar Nantz; a daughter, Esther Pauline White; two sons, Scottie Combs and Russell Larry Nantz; granddaughter, Lisa Smith; sister, Mary Jane Combs; and two brothers, Russell Jones and Hassell Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Campbell; a daughter, Diana Evans and husband Tommy, of Monroe, GA; two granddaughters that she raised, Tina Nantz Burkhart and husband John, of Loyall; and Tonya Nantz Grossman and husband Fred, of Ellicott City, MD; two daughters-in-law, Carol Combs; Zonda Collums and husband Donald; son-in-law, Ronnie White.

Also surviving are her grandchildren: Scottie Combs, Angela Burke, Melissa Evans, Brandy Dean, Danny Russell Evans, Amber Polly, Edgar Paul White, Shasta Ashby, Shawn Combs, Michael B. White and Jessica Henson; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Zelta will be held Saturday, September 1st, at 2 pm at the Blair Chapel Church with the Reverend Rod Raleigh officiating.

Friends may visit Friday evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the church.

Burial will follow at the Nantz family cemetery at Blair with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Online condolences may be left at www.harlanobits.net.
