The Evarts Wildcats moved to 3-0 on the season with a 22-6 victory over visiting Stinnett in fifth- and sixth-grade football action on Tuesday.

Brendan Osborne opened the scoring with a 58-yard run with 4:48 to play in the first quarter. Jordan Steele ran in the two-point conversion to make it 8-0.

Osborne later scored from 43-yards out to stretch the lead to 14-0 with 4:30 remaining before the half.

Christian Jones tacked on the Cats’ final touchdown with a 64-yard scoring run with 1:30 left in the second quarter.

Evarts will return to action Sept. 4 at Cumberland.

The New Harlan Patriots shut out visiting Mountain View 22-0 in fifth- and sixth-grade football action on Tuesday.

Dalton Johnson scored on a 9-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to put the Patriots up. Jared Creech ran in the two-point conversion.

Matt Brown later added an 18-yard score with 3:45 remaining in the contest. Creech again added the extra point.
