Work is progressing on Needham Saylor Field at Coal Miners’ Memorial Stadium. Contractors anticipate a late October finish on the facility at Harlan County High School. Workers have been laying the artificial turf, constructing the concession stand, restrooms and other amenities. The facility will be home to the Black Bears. Due to ongoing construction, HCHS will take on Gate City, Va., tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the ARH Bowl at Jim Big Man Davis Stadium, located by James A. Cawood Elementary School.
