Mary Ellen Turner, age 70 of Cumberland, KY passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1942 to the late Harmon and Alma Blevins Turner. Mary spent her life as a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Turner; and a sister, Sally Nantz.

She is survived by her children, Billy Wayne Hensley of Harlan, KY and Harold Turner of Viper, KY; brothers, Delmus Turner of Ohio and Ernest Turner of Hazard, KY; sisters, Nancy Adams and Robert of Slemp, KY, Laurie Turner of Lexington, KY, Alta Sorrells and Bobby of Beaver Dam, KY, Patricia Baker and Larry of Gordon, KY, and Imogene Keener of Owensboro, KY; a longtime friend, Chester Baker of Cumberland, KY; and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held for Mary Ellen at the Peaceful Branch Cemetery in Gordon on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 1 pm with Donald Wayne Jackson, Bobby Sorrells, and David Hill officiating.
