Janie Griffin Walters, 69, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Harlan, KY on January 13, 1943, a daughter of the late Willie and Grace Robbins Griffin. She believed in the Pentecostal faith and had been an Elementary School Teacher at Ross Point, Wallins and Cawood Elementary Schools.

Survivors include her children, Rhonda Gail Walters and her fiancé, James Caddell and Brian K. Walters; grandsons, Tanner and Tucker Walters; brothers and their wives, Howard and Alma Griffin; Harold and Wanda Griffin and Billy and Sylvia Griffin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Patterson and Rev. Charles Adkins. Music will be by James Caddell and Gail Adkins. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Harlan with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:oo PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Walters Family. Light a virtual candle and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
