Glenn W. Powell, age 86 of Sanders, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Gallatin Healthcare. Glenn was born September 7, 1926 to the late Andrew and Sarah (Burkhart) Powell in Cranks, KY. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a retired Highway Construction Mechanic , Supervisor and Master Electrician.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Hensley) Powell; four sisters; 3 brothers; and one son, William Scott Powell.

Survivors include his daughter, Glenna Courtney (Ronald); six grandchildren, Chris (Teresa) Courtney, Cindy Blake (David Byrd), Candace (David) Gullion, Mary Beth, Zachery, and Seth Powell; seven great grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Keri, Shelby, Bryson, Courtney, and Shaun. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny French officiating. Burial will follow at Paint Lick Cemetery.

Visitation will also be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home 108 E. Main St. Warsaw, KY. 41095-0884.
