Kerry Grant Vanover, 48, of Kildav passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the Harlan App. Regional Hospital. Born September 25, 1964, he was a native and lifelong resident of Evarts. He graduated from Evarts High School and believed in the Baptist faith. Kerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Gulf War.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy L. Colvin Vanover, Kildav; his parents, Earnest and Julia Howard Vanover,; two sons, Kolby Grant Vanover and Shane Timothy Vanover; two step-children, Kristin L. Bush and husband, Alex; Brianna L. Scoville and husband, Scott, all of Evarts; and three sisters, Teresa Boland and husband, Eric, Newberry, NC; Tammy Enix and husband, David, Harlan; and Kathy Napier and husband, Scottie, Harlan.

Also surviving are his granddaughter, Alyssia Scoville, Evarts; his mother-in-law, Bertha Colvin, Kildav; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, October 7, 2012, in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Buddy Simpson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Harlan Honor Guard. His family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
