The Coal Miner’ Memorial Stadium was near capacity with the 6,000 seats mostly filled Friday night as the Harlan County Black Bears hosted the Bell County Bobcats for the facility’s debut. The Black Bears proudly marched on their field and beat the Bobcats 40-34. The Harlan County High School JROTC members played the role of packing a defeated Bobcat mascot off the field.
