The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court, Judge Jeff Brock presiding.

Mary Davidson, 25, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator’s license — pleaded guilty, fined $50 (court costs waived).

Sherri L. Jennings, 42, trafficking of synthetic cannabinoid, possession of marijuana, buying/possession of drug paraphernalia — pretrial conference set Nov. 5.

James E. Newsome, 20, possession of marijuana — continued for arraignment.

Dennis C. Grubbs, 26, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to wear seat belt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set March 19.

Willard D. Thompson, 56, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to wear seat belt, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to notify address change to the transportation department, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance — first charge, pleaded guilty, fined $708, operator’s license suspended 30 days and sentenced to driving school; other charges dismissed on warning and proof.

Michael Lewis, 34, expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, license to be in possession, rim or frame obscuring lettering or decal on plate, operating vehicle with no horn, operating vehicle with no tail lights — dismissed on proof and warning.

Jason D. Fultz, 29, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to wear seat belt — continued for arraignment Nov. 5.

James Woodsby, 53, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to produce insurance card — dismissed on proof.

Aurthur Couch Jr., 28, failure to wear seat belt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to produce insurance card, booster seat violations — continued for arraignment.

William J. Saylor, 23, possession of marijuana — failed to appear for hearing.

Sampson Blevins, 45, alcohol intoxication in a public place — pleaded guilty, fined $50 (court costs waived).

Myrtle M. Graham, 57, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, possession of a controlled substance, controlled substance prescription not in original container — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set March 19.

Ernest E. Roper, 22, third-degree criminal trespassing — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set March 5.

Sheldon W. Ferguson, 35, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol) — failed to appear for hearing.

Terri Swanner, 61, license to be in possession, failure to wear seat belt — dismissed on proof and warning.

Andrew T. Loving, 28, speeding (17 miles per hour over the limit), failure to produce insurance card — continued for arraignment Oct. 29.

Stephen B. Dozier, 20, expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, failure to wear seat belt — continued for arraignment Oct. 29.

George Hunt, 29, giving officer false name or address, resisting arrest, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), third-degree escape, possession of marijuana, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal mischief, tampering with physical evidence, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), buying/possession of drug paraphernalia — preliminary hearing scheduled Oct. 29.

Victor L. Farmer, 49, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to wear seat belt — first charge, pleaded guilty, fined $708, operator’s license suspended 30 days and sentenced to driving school; other charge dismissed.

Shawn K. Vick, 22, second-degree burglary — waived to grand jury.

Benjamin D. Sullivan, 30, theft by deception (under $500) — pretrial conference set March 19.

Wiley Saylor, 83, harassment (no physical contact) — continued for arraignment Nov. 5.
