The county middle school boys basketball season tipped-off with a pair of panoramas on Saturday.

Wallins, Cawood, Black Mountain and Rosspoint claimed wins in seventh- and eighth-grade action at Wallins.

Rhett Alred, Brandon Osborne, Treyce Spurlock and WIlliam Bowling each scored eight in Wallins’ 46-31 win over James A. Cawood.

Steven Lee led the Trojans with 13 points.

Drew Brewer and Paul Stapleton scored eight each in Cawood’s 45-26 win over Evarts.

Lamar Burkhart poured in 18 to lead the Wildcats.

Trent McKenzie fired in 15 as Black Mountain downed Green Hills 27-17.

Lucas Boggs led the Falcons with seven points.

Kennon Napier scored 12 as Rosspoint edged Cumberland 28-23.

Joey Swanner paced Cumberland with eight points.

Trey Hensley scored 14 in the opening scrimmage as James A. Cawood edged Cumberland 25-21.

Xavier Simmons scored four points to lead Cumberland.

Jarrett McKenzie scored 10 as Black Mountain nipped Wallins 24-21.

Jared Hawkins led the Devils with 10 points.

Rosspoint rallied for a 20-19 win over Evarts as Jacob Brown hit a 3-pointer and Jace Daniels added a basket in the final minute.

Josh Turner and Hunter Helton each scored five to pace Rosspoint.

Nick Shackleford and Josh Burkhart each scored seven to lead Evarts.

Sixth-grade center Jared Creech scored seven points as Cawood downed Green Hills 20-7 in the final scrimmage.

Dylan Gross paced Green HIlls with five points.
