Laid off coal miners lined up on Tuesday for groceries given away by the Harlan County Chaplain Corps in conjunction with the Grays Knob Church of God. Harlan County Sheriff Marvin Lipfird said a lot of miners will be losing their unemployment benefits soon and these extra groceries will help them feed their families. Lipfird also added this is the season for giving, adding he hopes everyone in Harlan County will hold that spirit in their hearts and help those less fortunate than themselves.
