Robert Augustus Peterson, Sr. age 78 of Brookside, KY passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at his residence in Cresent City, Florida. He was born March 9, 1934 in Brookside to the late Augustus and Mary Irene Peterson. Robert was a welder by trade. He believed in the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Clayton Peterson.

Survivors include three children, Teresa Davis and husband Leroy of Loyall, KY, Robert Peterson, Jr. and wife Regina of Putney, KY, and Darrell Peterson and wife Sandra of Calhoun, GA; his grandchildren, James Peterson and wife Nicole of Putney, KY, Bradley Peterson and wife April of Tremont, KY, Kevin Peterson of Calhoun, GA, Keith Peterson and wife Iris of Calhoun, GA; great grandchildren, Harlie and Hayden Peterson, Allie, Amber, and Abbie Peterson; brothers and sisters, Luther Clayton Peterson, Charles Wayne Peterson, Doris “Moochie” Alvin, William “Bill” Peterson, Linda Gail Shackleford ( Larry), Mary Margaret Saragas (Takie), Gary Douglous Peterson (Pat), James Edward “Rocky” Peterson (Vickie) and sister-in-law, Jane Peterson.

Private services were held November 28, 2012 in San Mateo, Florida.

A private graveside service will be held in Harlan at a later date.
