Harlan City Police have arrested two people in connection with a robbery that occurred at the Harlan Pizza Hut on Dec. 5.
Donnie Pace, 25, of Evarts, and Donna Brown, 24, of Evarts, were arrested on Thursday on a robbery a charge.
According to a press release from the Harlan City Police Department, information was received leading to the arrests.
“During the investigation, statements were obtained on Pace and Brown placing them in the area at the time of the incident,” states the release. “Both statements and evidence collected were enough to obtain two arrest warrants for both subjects.”
Harlan police officers Mike Ashurst and Britt Ross, along with Kentucky State Police troopers Craig Miller and Rodney Sturgill, with the assistance of the Evarts Police Chief Lupe Blas, located both subjects on Disney Street in Evarts.
The release said Brown was a former employee of the Harlan Pizza Hut.
Pace and Brown were both charged with first-degree robbery and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
The incident is still under investigation by Harlan Police Sgt. George Young and Ross.
