Willie Boggs, Jr., age 61 of Cumberland, KY departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born to the late Willie Boggs, Sr. and Mabel Williams Boggs in Benham, KY on October 17, 1951. Willie worked many years in the food retail business but had spent the last 10 years as a department manager at Food City in Cumberland, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Shepherd Boggs; brother, Nathaniel Boggs; and sister, Pauline Boggs.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a daughter, Erin Pennington and husband, Isaac, of Benham, KY; brothers, Orville, James, Irvin, Wayne, Jeff and Taff Boggs all of Cumberland, KY; four grandchildren, Kelly, Lindsey, Joseph and Alexis Cox; a special brother-in-law, James Shepherd of Morristown, TN; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Hiram Pentecostal Church in Hiram, KY on Friday, December 21, 2012, after 5 pm. Funeral services will be held at the church at 7 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012, with the Reverend Bill Combs officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 1 pm in the Hurricane Gap Cemetery at Gordon, KY.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers for the services.
