Gary was born in Columbus, OH to the late Fred and Fern Woods Caldwell. He currently served as the Financial Director of the Letcher Co. School System. He was a member of the Harlan Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and as a Sunday School Teacher.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Caldwell; daughter, Julia L. Robinson and her husband Brent.
He leaves to mourn his passing a son, F. Scott (Beckie) Caldwell; grandsons, Alex & Bradley Caldwell all of Georgetown; a brother, Terry (Sis) Caldwell of Bledsoe; sister, Sherri Davis of Hyden; a niece Teri Michelle (Breathitt) Kelly of Richmond.
Joint Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday Dec. 28, 2012 at the Harlan Baptist Church with Dr. John Ditty and Rev. Brandon Pugh officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with Deacons of the Harlan Baptist Church will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 9:00 pm at the Harlan Baptist Church.
