Johnny E. Farmer, 64 of Woodland Hills passed away early Wednesday on December 26, 2012 at his home.

Johnny was born January 20, 1948 in Cawood, KY to the late Johnny and Elizabeth Roper Farmer. He was a Deacon and member of the Loyall First Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, member of the Gideon’s International, and member of the Harlan Masonic Lodge 879 F & AM. He belonged to the Scottish Rite and the Oleika Temple, Lexington. He was the Owner and Principle Broker of Mountain View Reality for over 20 years.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Scotty Farmer.

He is survived by his wife Linda Meeks Farmer of Woodland Hills; daughter, Kimberly (David) Richards; grandchildren, Tanner and Tiffany Richards all of Nicholasville; brother, Larry (Wilma) Farmer of Lexington, sister, Judith (Ron) Carpenter of Lexington, his sister, Kathie Farmer and Linda Lutz of Nicholasville, brother, Freddie (Tammy) Farmer of Totz, sister, Vickie (Roy) Gibbs of Rio Vista; sister-in-law, Sue Ann Harris of Loyall; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Sunday December 30, 2012 from 4 until 6:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Loyall.

Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm at the church with Dr. Roy Lucas officiating. Deacons of the Church will serve as Pallbearers.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday December 31, 2012 at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel. Masonic Rites will be observed by the Harlan Masonic Lodge 879 F & AM.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Hospice of the Bluegrass Mountain Heritage, PO Box 189, Harlan, KY 40831 or to First Baptist Church of Loyall in memory of Johnny.
